Rare Canvas is a small studio creating one-of-one solid wood and epoxy wall art. This policy explains how we handle inquiries, the services used on this website, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

When you submit the live inquiry form, we receive the information you choose to share — typically your name, email address, phone number, and details about your project or commission. We store accepted form submissions in our PostgreSQL database so the Rare Canvas studio can respond. If you contact us directly by email, we receive the information included in that message. This site does not offer user accounts, and we do not collect payment information through it.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you send us solely to respond to your inquiry, discuss potential commissions, and follow up on conversations you started with us. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies & Analytics

This website uses Google Tag Manager to load and manage website tags, including Google Analytics 4. The published container is configured to initialize Google Analytics when a page loads and to record events when the inquiry thank-you page is viewed or a telephone link is clicked. We use analytics to understand website use and inquiry-related interactions. These events are separate from the inquiry details you submit to the studio.

Google Analytics can use cookies and collect information about pages and interactions, browser and device information, and online identifiers. Loading Google's services connects your browser to Google's servers. Google processes analytics information under its own privacy policies; see https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites for details.

This website does not currently provide an on-site analytics consent control, so analytics may load before you make a consent choice. You can manage cookies in your browser and use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies alone may not prevent all requests to Google. We are reviewing our tracking configuration and consent controls and will update this policy as those controls change.

Third-Party Services

The inquiry form sends your submission to our website API rather than opening your email application. We use SMTP2GO as an email delivery provider to send the studio notification and, when available, a confirmation to you. We also use hosting and database service providers to operate the website and store accepted submissions. These providers process information only to provide services for the Rare Canvas studio. Our site also links to external services such as Instagram; those sites have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Data Retention & Your Choices

Accepted inquiry form submissions are retained in our database for 30 days from receipt and removed by a daily retention cleanup after they expire. Deletion may therefore occur during the daily cleanup after the 30-day mark. Invalid, spam or honeypot, rate-limited, and duplicate requests do not create a new database record. Direct email correspondence may be retained as long as needed to work with you on your project or answer your questions. You may ask us at any time to update or delete the information you've shared with us, and we will honor that request.
